YRWA meetings are held on the forth Tuesday of every other month begining Febuary at 7:00 p.m in the Center for Adventure & Outdoor Studies at Garrett College in McHenry, Maryland.

Boating

The "Yough" provides whitewater boaters with intense clas IV and V rapids. Starting with the "top yough" starting at Swallow Falls then continueing with the "upper yough" starting at Sang Run, ending up in Friendsville.

The watershed also includes several opportunities for a relaxing flatwater paddle.

American Whitewater is a great resource for the whitewater paddler before setting out.

Deep Creek Lake State Park is a great place to start a flat water journey.

Herrington Manor also has a 53 acre lake with boat rentals.

Youghiogheny Resevoir lies just north of the town of Friendsville. The resevoir stretches 16 miles into nearby Pennsylvania.
